Podcasts not auto-downloading on iPhone. Not syncing with iTunes.

iPhone 4 current operating system for iPhone and iTunes.

My podcasts are not auto-downloading. I have all the settings correct - it just doesn't work. On the iPhone I have to manually go into the Store and download each podcast. But for one podcast, iPhone downloads each podcast twice.

There seems to be NO syncing with iTunes.

I've seen lots of people with the same problem. Any solutions?
