I have iCal on my Mac at home, synced to my iPhone, and then I use iCloud at work (from a PC). Today at work, I was looking at my iCloud calendar and several events disappeared from right in front of my eyes. However, they are still on my phone! (I can't yet check if they're on my Mac at home.) What is going on here?

I suspect that it has something to do with weekly repeating events - all the events which disappeared were in that category - but how do I get them back? My iPhone is set to sync 'all events' already.

I have the exact same problem.  The weekly recurring entries appear both on my iPhone and my Macbook calendar.  It's just on the iCloud version that they are gone.

This has also happened to me. All of my events are fine on my iPhone but on my PC dropped all of my recurring events. It's very frustrating!!! I spent an hour and 20 minutes on the phone with apple 2 days ago and they couldn't fix it!

It sounds like there was a general iCloud event (maybe an update) on Feb. 6 that caused this problem.  That's when mine started too.

Shame it's still happening two days later :-(

It seems to be definitely something with repeating events - individual events are fine. Let's hope Apple get onto it soon.

Yeah, same exact thing happened to me. Many of my recurring schedules are completely gone.

This happened to me too, around the same time as the rest of you.  Somehow it's comforting to know that it's a more widespread problem, since it must be something wrong with iCloud, not something that I did wrong or that's specific to my computer.  Here's hoping they fix it soon!

I'm not very happy that Apple hasn't fixed this yet. I spend 1 hr 10min with two differnt technicians on the phone including a "senior" advisor and no one could help me. Not to mention all those minutes went down the drain.

I had the same issue at about the same time. Seem to only affect recurring events. All recurring events disappeared form my iCloud calendar and most from my iPhone.

Apple doesn't seem to be doing anything about this.  So maybe we can at least help them diagnose and fix!

Question 1:  did you all recently upgrade to Mountain Lion?  I did so a few weeks ago.

Question 2:  I noticed this problem with only SOME recurring events, mostly those that have weekly recurrence.  Events with daily recurrence have not disappeared.  Is this the same with others?

Question 3:  how to get Apple Customer Support attention???

  • ctaylorjay Level 1 (10 points)

    1. no, I haven't upgraded recently. In fact, I hadn't changed *anything* in my settings when this started happening.

    2. I only have problems with the weekly and monthly recurrences, no daily ones. It's the weeklies I've noticed so far. (Having said that, it SEEMS to be okay again at the moment - touch wood. I may be cursing myself by saying that.)

    3. Who knows?!

  • davidw Level 1 (5 points)

    1. I have not upgraded any devices recently. As a matter of fact, I am not using iCal on my desktop, just iCloud and iPhone.

    2. I had weekly events disappear from my iPhone & iCloud. But daily recurring events only disappeared from iCloud.

    3. Would love to know.

    I lied - it's still happening. Argh!!!

Same problem on my end -- phone is fine... it's ONLY When I make a minor change to the weekly scheduled item in my phone and save, it re-appears on -- until the next time I login. The appointments are also gone in outlook, but I don't care as much about that because obviously once it's fixed on icloud it'll sync up on outlook.

The only thing I can think of is I noticed this right after I installed the iOS 6.1 upgrade... is it possible that the phone OS and are not playing nicely?

same problem here. I just noticed it today. Running 10.7.5 on Macbook + iMac, 6.0.1 on iPhone. No changes lately. My weekly and bi-weekly iCal events are MIA in iCloud, but all present and accounted for on the Macbook and iPhone. go figure.... Hope Apple finds the problem soon. This makes me veeeerrryy nervous, wondering how long it will take for my events to disappear from my iPhone and Macbook, too :-(
