Q: iTunes error when downloading a digital copy

I tried to download some movies to my PC, but after entering the code in i-Tunes an error occurs saying something like:

"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

I tried later many times and I' m connected to iTunes- Store (bought an app a minute before I tried to download the digital copy). I also tried to download other movies, but always the same error.

Thanks for help

Same problem starting yesterday.   Apple Support told me to wait 48 hours, try again, and contact her directly if it didn't work.  Something is def wrong on their end

I'm having the same issue.  I tried checking my firewall like they suggested (Windows 7) - but still nothing.  I downloaded an app just to see if the store was working, and it downloaded fine.  Please fix this.

I'm having the same issue and want to add films to my ipad before I go away...I have been trying all day and get the same message each time.  I too have purchased a film from iTunes which has downloaded without an issue.  It appears that we all have the same issue but is anyone able to resolve it. Please help as I am running out of time!

Hey - let me know if any of you get the same thing?  I tried again, but it didn't work, so I went into my "movies" library - and there was an icon for the movie I was trying to redeem.  I hit play, and it's working, and also right clicked and selected "download" - I haven't finished yet (it's going to take hours to download) - but it all seems to be working this way.

Nop, they don't show in my Itunes.  Anyone knows if Apple support even read this forum or we have to send in request?

I had that exact thing happen as tshell.  It came up that the store was unavailable.  Trying again comes up with an unknown error.  But when I look under movies, it is there.  I'm downloading it now, so hopefully it's redeemed properly.

Edit:  It DOESN'T show up under "Purchased"

I finally got this working, a bit oddly though.  I went into My Account from iTunes and set my payment type to None.  The code still didn't work.  I tried to delete the movie from the Movies section, and it wouldn't delete.  It still didn't show in the Purchased section.  So, I  closed iTunes and reopened it.  I went into Movies and was able to successfully delete it.  Then I tried the code again and it worked.

    Dunno...
