Question

Using Numbers, when I press enter how do I change cell movement to the right instead of down?

I know this is a simple question, but after two days of searching, I haven't found where to make that change. Thanks in advance. (I'm also trying to learn how to use "help" and look for previously asked questions so I don't have to bother you folks, but I haven't mastered that either.)

Hi Willie,

On my MacBook Pro, Tab key moves to the next cell on the right.

Also have a look at Inspector > Table Tab > Table Options

Try with and without "Return key moves to next cell" to see if it moves down one cell or inserts new lines in a cell.

'Enter' key may also be labelled 'Return' on your machine.
