Loss of Sound volume on Guitar Amp recorded track...

Help!

I have recorded my Guitar via the Guitar Amp amd played over an imprted song. During recording all sound levels are fine. When I switch to the 'timeline' and track view, the imported song track performs OK but the recorded Guitar track is barely audible... I assume it is something I am doing.. any sugestions? I use the iRig to connect to my iPad.
