My 8.gig.ipod does't seem to hold the capicity it should I have a 4gig. ipod thathas twice the songs. Idon't know if theres a different program that condences more music 0r what help!!!

When you connect your iPod to iTunes, look on the iPod (at any of the panes) and make a note of the various amounts of memory used by various types of media. What are they, and in particular, what is the amount of Other shown?
For future reference. if your iPod has a capacity of 8GB, it's not a Classic.
