How can I connect my ps3 controller to my mac mini?

Hello there everyone,

I've recently gotten games for my mac mini that I'm excited to play but I wish I could get my ps3 controller so I don't have to use my keyboard as the game controller. The problem that I have been having lately is that the mac mini detects the controller and it keeps asking me for an access code. I've looked online everyone about this but all of them say to ignore it and turn of my bluetooth and turn it on back again. The problem with this is that since both my keyboard and mouse are wireless, I cannot disconnect the bluetooth for even a second since I wouldn't be able to work the computer and the computer realizes this by giving me the message that the computer cannot be handle with the bluetooth off. Is there any other way I can use my ps3 controller. I just want to play my games lol
