i have tried all fixes to imessage but still not working help driving me mad apple phone support no help what so ever anybody got any clues ?
iPhone 3GS, iOS 6.1, on vodafone
Can you explain in detail "still not working"
Give us a few clues to what you've done so far, and we'll help you.
Here's what I did to fix it for me when I tried to get imessage to work.
I backed up my phone to my icloud.
I then went to settings > general > reset > erase all content and settings.
Erased everything, then activated the phone and restored from icloud.
And it worked like a charm.
i have done a re install , i have logged out and back in apple id, i have tried setting the date,time and location on auto.
i spoke tp apple who told me to try on 3g aswell as a different network so tried that ! nothing
i have the number ticked and my email address ticked but starts to send in blue then say not delivered ?
have read these and most forums on here but still not working, getting frustrating now seems to be with activation ???
You have not told us what the problem is. All you did was give us a statement about how iMessage is not working and what you did attempt to fix the issue. If we do not know what the problem is how do you expect us to help you fix it?
well everytime i try to activate i message its say's " your carrier may charge for this sms " then i message goes to on, then it will show my number and email address that i can recieve the messages from these addresses .(both ticked)
when i go to send a imessage its starts to send in blue then say's not delivered and sends as a normal sms message ,or if i turn that option off doesn't;t send at all ???
any ideas not my carrier as just sent a txt to somebody i know in new zeland

Perhaps the person you are sending the problematic text to cannot receive the message by email or has messaging tuned off or does not have a cellular plan that includes texting. Have you contacted that person to find out.
Obviously messaging is working if you can send texts to other individuals.
thanks ralph but its not just to one person, have tried to send to most people i know with a iphone but still says same thing on imessage ' not delivered' and same happens on ther phone when sending to me but they have no problem sending imessages to other people
