I have OS X Lion 10.7.5. I updated to Java 7u13. I deleted Java before I installed, deleted my caches, and ran disk utility. My plugins are enabled on both Firefox and Safari.
I am still unable to play java games online. Please help!

Perhaps those games require Java 6, which is still unsafe for browser use and blocked in Safari for Lion / Mountain Lion users. You'll have to check with the game developer to know for certain.

If you are talking about Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 12 it is only for Snow Leopard users. Has something new shown up?
I did the Java for OS X 2012-006 and then did this http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5559?viewlocale=en_US and it works now but it is super grainy and discolored. You're saying this is still unsafe to use?

If, when you run java -version in Terminal, it says Java SE 6 1.6.0_37 etc., then yes, that version is unsafe for browser use on untrusted sites and should still be blocked by Apple XProtect.
Well, I came back today and now that doesn't even work what i listed above. Any other suggestions how to get java working on my mac?
OS X Lion 10.7.5 and Java 7u13 still not working.
