On an iPad is there any way to lock a spreadsheet in numbers

I have numbers on my iOS devices but cannot find a way to password protect a spreadsheet. Is this possible?

I have excel files that are password protected but when I bring them into numbers the protection is lost.

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 5.1.1
