How do I backup iPhotos?

I need to take my MAC in cause I have had problems with it from the day I got it and I do not know how or where I can back my Iphots up?

Mac Pro, iOS 6.1

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities


The photos stored on iPhoto are saved onto the iPhoto Library, on Pictures folder. Just go to this folder and copy the iPhoto Library to an external drive to get it backed up.


In general, instead of backing up only the iPhoto library, I recommend to back up the whole hard disk with Time Machine or Carbon Copy Cloner
