SSD Video Playback Stutters

i have replaced my drive in my MBP 2.4Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with a Crucial 256 SSD and all is great except that video playback from my drive is stuttery. Are there drivers i need to update?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), 2.4Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
