I am unable to stream movies from my Amazon prime app. My ISP is Verizon DSL. Each time I try to connect I receive warning of an HTTP proxy and content playback is not supported by the proxy. Is this a Verizon problem or can my iPad be ajusted to steam

Does anyone else have trouble streaming movies via Amazon prime app. My ISP is Verizon DSL and each time I try to stream I receive a warning that

HTTP proxy is being used and content playback is not supported by proxy. I am able too stream at a relative home who uses Comcast.

Thank you for any suggestions

iPad 2, iOS 6, Amazon prime app

Can you stream any video to the iPad at home?

Download a few free apps and find out (ABC,NBC and PBS are all free. If you're registered for Hulu use that.).

I can stream Netflix with no difficulty and I can stream Amazon when at a family member who uses Comcast. So I am wondering if it myISP modifying the service or do I need to modify something? I called the ISP and they say. T is the iPad problem.

You may need to contact Amazon Customer Support but first, just as a last try before you brave Amazon tech support, go into Settings>wifi and select an arrow at the recognized connection.

That will get you to the screen that will show HTTP Proxy.

It should be enabled.

If it isn't enable it and restart.

If it is, disable it and restart try Amazon and then go back enable it and restart again.

Can you stream then?
