I have a Power Mac G5 tower (2 cpus, 2 ghz each + 2gb memory) running OS 10.4.11; I want to upgrade to OS 10.5. Getting very confused as I search for how to do that. Help?

I want to upgrade to os 10.5 so that I can upgrade to newer iMovie version. Have made 2 searches and have not found answers for a Mac G5 of this age. But it is running well. Can anyone at least tell me IF I can upgrade, and how to do so? I don't find software in store OR on support website, so far. Thanks for ANY advice you may have. 🙂

Buy a retail Mac OS X 10.5 DVD from a source such as Amazon or eBay.

But you will lose access to Classic, unless you clone the 10.4.11 to a second drive first. Your Mac supports two internet drives without trouble. Other pitfalls for 10.5 are here: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-2275
