2010 Model Experiences Max Brightness on Startup or Reboot

Hello,

I am currently on Mac OSX 10.7.5 running a 2010 Macbook Pro 13". For whatever reason, whenever I restart or turn on the computer, the screen goes to maximum brightness forcing me to turn it down everytime. Am I doing something wrong?

• On System Preferences, I have unchecked the Automatically Adjust Brightness option in the Display option
• I also have Bootcamp running Windows 8 if that is relevant
