according to the apple website I need to upgrade Boot camp 3.0 to at least 3.1 in order to install Windows 7 on my iMac currently running Snow Leopard. I download the 3.1 version but it is only a text file and there doesn't appear to be any way to upgrade

In order to install Windows 7 on my iMac I need to upgrade bootcamp to at least 3.1 I currently have 3.0.4 After downloading from the website there is no way to install it - it is just a text file? What should I do?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
