Show Duplicates option and Show Column Brower Greyed Out

Hey everyone,

I just got a new iPod classic 160 GB to replace my old one, and for some reason both the "Show Duplicates" option and "Show Column Browser" is greyed out. I chose to manage my music manually as I'd done before since I keep some of my songs on an external hard drive, but neither of these options had been greyed out before. Any suggestions? And I'm using the most recent version of iTunes 11.0.1
