My pages says that I don't have it installed, but I do. I just downloaded. Do I have to get the serial number?

How do you know you have it installed if it says it isn't?

Yes, from the Apple store and it says INSTALLED!
You said that it says it isn't installed.
Go to Spotlight (top right - magnifying glass icon on the menubar) and search for "Pages", then select it.
It should open.
