Is there a way to divide the calendar into 15 minute intervals?

hello, i am a pretty devoted apple user and i was wondering if there was anyway to edit the calender app to where it divides each of the days into 15 minute intervals rather than 1 hour intervals?

thanks for your help!

In addition it is possible to change the default length of time that a new event is set to when created.

As it stands Calendar makes all new events 1 hour long. If you want the default time fo new events to be 15 mins enter

defaults write com.apple.iCal "Default duration in minutes for new event" 15

in the terminal. You can triple click the above line and then copy it and paste it into a terminal window then press return to execute it.

Unfortunately IOS (the OS on the iPad/iPhone is a different beast and this procedure won't work there.

I don't think that there is an equivalent command you could run there and there is nothing I can see in the settings so I'm afraid we're stuck with 1 hour as the default time span for new events.

You could always try sending feedback to Apple concerning this, it would be a nice feature to have.
