How many monitors will my late 2009 imac support?


2.8 GHz i7

12 GB ram

ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB


I'd like to add 2 Yamakasi Catleap monitors to my setup. (2560 x 1440 16:9 display)


Can I do it?

Based on what you have read I would say "a" means one. However I would strongly recommend contacting OWC (OtherWorld Computing at www.macsales.com) to see if they have some other solutions available and if so what they may be. OWC specializes in Macs and what they sell they thoroughly test prior to.


If you find it necessary you may need to upgrade to a newer Mac that support 2 or more external displays via Thunderbolt. Not cheap but doable.
