Just installed Mountain Lion. It appears I can't open my xcode projects made in Lion, Xcode 4.3. Xcode doesn't even 'see' the .xcode files. What a bummer! Does anyone know a solution? Thanks in advance for you time and advice.
Launch the AppStore and download Xcode 4.6.
I had installed Xcode 4.6 - that's where the trouble started! My apps were built in 4.2, but after installing 4.6 (and prior to that Mountain Lion) the .xcode project files have magically disappeared... Is it because apps built in xcode 4.2 are not compatible with 4.6, and therefore invisible?

No, something else made the projects disappear. Were they ever backed up to TM? Are the projects there except for the .xcodeproj files?
Yes, the other files are all still there. In the finder only the xcode project file doesn't show up.

Sorry, no. Most have upgraded their systems without this happening.
I've assumed you are referring to the .xcodeproj files. Are you instead referring to the build files? Their location has changed to a DerivedData folder under ~/Library.
