how do i turn off widow/orphan when I have text in a table?

I am using a long table which goes over 2-4 pages. It has text in the first column, and numbers in the second.


How do I turn off the widow & orphan lines when the I cannot seem to select the Pagination and Break Options from the More menu in Text in Inspector?


Please help.

Table Rows will not split across a page, regardless of the Widow/Orphan control settings for Text. In your situation it would be better to not use tables to organize your text. Tables weren't really designed with that purpose in mind.


A good substitute is to use a two-column text layout. Here's an example:

I turned on the View Invisibles option so you could see the placement. These Break controls are in the Insert menu.
