I've got a Mac Pro and I've installed a clean HDD and I plan on installing OSX Snow Leapord (SL). When I insert the SL dvd, the mac stays stuck on the screen with the apple logo? Any ideas on how to get past this?

Which model (year) of Mac Pro? You won't be able to directly install retail Snow Leopard (10.6.3) on anything from 2010 onwards, but there are workarounds - search the forum.
