Problem with 7th gen nano and aux cable in car...

When my iPod nano 7th generation is plugged into my car with the aux cable, a terrible hissing noise is created. I am using the same cable as my 5th generation, however am now having problems. What do I need to do?

Thanks

I was not suggesting it was a cable problem, it is just that the headphone jack in the 7th Generation Nano is very tight when new and sometimes you think it is plugged all the way in when it is not.

If you are sure it is then try it in someone else's care that has an Aux input. If it still has the same hissing then there is a problem with your Nano and you need to get it serviced. If it doesn't then it is some type of interaction between your car and the Nano.

I have the same problem ... did you solve the issue??

I have recently bought a ipod Nano 7th generation, which, when attached to AUX in, makes a hissing noise. 5th generation didn't. I have used multiple cables and all have the same 'hissing' issue. I have plugged the 7th generation into other aux in devices (not in a car though) and there is no hissing. Is it a problem with car only Aux in?? It also seems to mess around with the battery level indicator!?!

Any help would be gratefully received.

I have exactly the same problem. Just bought a new car and embarrassingly I took the car back to get checked today as other iPods worked in other cars so I assumed the problem was the car, But after being examined it looks like it is the iPod 7. Other iPods they tried work fine, as does iPhone 5. I even tried a new aux lead and it dint work, so its not the lead and definitely an iPod nano 7th gen issue.

My iPod 7th Gen, when plugged into the AUX cable in my car, cuts in and out until the song pauses by its self. I spoke to an apple employee at the apple store and they said there are 3 loops on the headphone plug and most AUX cables only have 2 which is making the iPod jack not recognise the AUX cable properly. I have been looking in stores and online for a AUX cable with the 3 loops but cannot find them anywhere, not even on the apple store website..

Im at a lost end.. Starting to regret my purchase as I don't see a resolution!!!!
