I've just realized that this would be a useful sort of chart so I haven't tried yet so I can't say where my roadblocks are. Any tips for starting off? I've done a fair amount of fairly simple work in Numbers. This would be a step up for me. Thanks, Paul.
First you produce a Table, then you Chart the Table. Pareto Tables are always sorted into descending values of critical data. There is usually a second column that represents cumulative percentage of the total of the data column.
The critical data is normally presented as a column chart and the cumulative percentage is normally plotted as a line. These are easy concepts in Numbers.

Yes, you can make a Pareto Chart with Numbers. What part of that task are you having trouble with?

Thanks! I'll let you know how it goes. Paul.
Paul,
To sort, select the table you want to sort then select the menu item "Table > Show Reorganize Panel" (it's the last item in the menu).
