Email passwords being rejected in Apple Mail etc
iCloud may or may not be the problem here. I installed iCloud on Monday last week then on Friday evening my email on self hosted web domain stopped working in Apple Mail.
I can log into my web domain's remote email via CPanel using mobile iPhone over 3G so I know passwords and user names are both correct.
If I try to log into CPanel on my wifi or an ethernet connect it comes up saying 'log in invalid'.
Meanwhile my Apple Mail is saying same password is being rejected. Even though I know via 3G that it works.
As a work around I'm reading my domain email via Gmail - which is hideous and clunky.
After reading another thread on here, I tried deleting keychain files and deleting the account in Apple Mail preferences and re-entering. It still rejects it.
I've rebooted the Time Capsule. I've emptied the Safari cache and reset Safari. I've tried using Chrome and Fire Fox.
Nothing will allow me to access my domain email via the web or the Apple Mail.
I'm at my wits end now. Does anyone have any new suggestions?
