Will transfer of music from wifes computer mess up my exchange contacts, etc.?

Another novice here slowly becoming indoctrinated. I received a 4s from work and we use exchange to sync email, contacts, calendar. I think I set up an iTunes account on my phone last night but just downloaded some free apps (iheartradio, etc.). I do not have a computer I sync my phone with. All of our music is on my wife's computer and I'm trying to figure out how to get it on my phone. Do I just hook up to her computer and tell iTunes to give access to my phone? Also, will that mess up my prior apps that I downloaded last night?
