I've never lost any music or videos by re-installing iTunes, but it is ALWAYS best to have a backup, esp of purchased music from iTMS that can only be downloaded once.

The actual program iTunes get installed here
C:\Program Files\iTunes

And the music files are in an entirely different folder.

If "nothing" is on your iPod, restoring it can't possibly lose anything. A restore will just put the iPod operating software back on it.

P.S. Your sig says WIndows ME - that can't be right. iTunes is for WinXP or Win2K.

if u uninstall and reinstall itunes u will not lose ur music. it's just the program ur removing. itunes makes a file that holds the music in the computer under my music so therefore the music is seperate from the itunes application itself when uninstalling. a restore for the ipod wipes everything off the ipod itself and makes it just like outta the box - it will not remove files from the computer

If I uninstall and reinstall itunes, will i lose all my music and videos?
