How to unlock iphone 3g(cannot detect carrier sim card)

My 3g iphone when hooked to iTunes gives this message.The Sim Card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.The iPhone is not

currently setup to work with carrier you're attempting to use.Please insert another Sim Card from a supported carrier or request that the iPhone

be unlocked.I tried several other carrier Sim Cards.The same message appears.Please send me a solution on how to settle this matter.I can only use

Malaysian carrier Sim Cards,Thank you.

The iPhone is locked to a different carrier. Only that carrier and authorize unlocking so you can use the iPhone with other carriers, so you will have to contact that original carrier and ask if you qualify for unlocked and if so what their procedure is.
