First time using Mainstage Live onstage.

Hi guys! I just using Mainstage live for first time in our show, I'm very excited about it, and I did a little video of my rig settings.

That looks a fabulous rig. I'm about to be heading into that world myself. I use a Yamah Mo' 8 for most live gigs, but I tried using MainStage for a gig last year, but unlike you, I wa using 3rd-party plugins like all the Native Instruments stuff like Komplete 8 Ultimate, etc, and there were a couple of crashes. I want to really give this a shot this year for a gig coming up in March. My setup is the Mo'8 connected via USB to the MBP running MainStage with an Apogge Duet 2 and an external hard drive where all my samples are stored. Enough about me. Please tell me a bit more about yours. Firstly, are you using an audio interface to route audio out of the laptop or are you just taking a lead out of the laptop directly? Secondly, what are you using to mount the laptop on? I've been racking my brains trying to find a solution to the problem myself. Anyway, great rig again.

Cool rig! I play in musical theatre productions all the time, and MainStage is the core of my rig. I use the Yamaha CP33 as a controller and the MOTU UltraLite MK3 as an interface. If you're looking for something to support your laptop, take a look at this. I've been using it for a few weeks, and it works fine. If you're interested in reading more about MainStage, visit my site. I post about MainStage all the time.

That looks a good setup, bwhli. I have looked at stuff such as laptop stands, but the only problem is where to place extra stuff. I have a Duet 2 as my audio interface plus an external hard drive where all my streaming Kontakt and Spectrasonics sample libraries are located, so placing them on the floor isn't the ideal spot.

With your Yamaha piano, did you connect jack-to-jack leads to the PA just in case the computer crashed, etc?

I'm gonna be posting my setup photos from rehearsals last week for a gig that's on in Melbourne I'm involved in this week where I'm using MainStage, and it's turned out a treat.
