I have update my IPAD to IOS 6 and now it is requesting a password to get onto it that i dont know. i cant restore it because the password blocks it help....?

You forgot your password that you set it up with your Apple ID? That is the password it is asking you, and if you don't know it, how did you get it to do the update...It would have asked you the same password to do the update.
If you have a passcode lock on your device and you don't know it, then you'll have to restore as 'new'.

No i didnt forget the password. After i updated the IPAD it was working fine, when i went back to it today it is asking for a password to even get onto it. I had a four digit password set previously it wont accept this and looks like it wants a word password and the ITunes one does not work!
