how do I turn off the "click track" on playback when i am done with it in garage band?

if you created an actual click track, use the Mute button in the track header (speaker icon)


if you mean the metronome, turn of the Metronome menuItem

I use headphone and still got it permanently recorded. I quit using it after the first time.

Then you may have a problem with the headphone port. If the contact of the headphone plug is not good, the internal speakers may not have been turned off. To check if the headphones are plugged in correctly and are working, take them off and play back your song. You should not hear anything.
