macromedia flash player

Hello everybody out there.
This is my first visit here and I am not very clever with a computer, but I am hoping that someone will be able to help me, because I am about to give up.
My problem is that there are several homepages I cannot run as I am told that my computer needs flash player, but when I click on the link to Adobe and then try to download Flash Player, nothing happens. It seems like it is not downloading at all.
What shall I do? I have Mac Os 9.1 and I think I might have found out that I need Mac Os X. But I would rather just keep my 9.1 and get flash on that one.
Thank you for your help.

Greetings from Denmark,
Anette 😉

Hello Anette,
I know that Macromedia Flash Player loads readily w/ OS 9.2.2, so you don't need to go to OS X to deal w/ Flash Player updates. However, I can't say that the latest Flash Player updates will load into OS 9.1, but they should.

Be sure you are on the correct Flash Player download site as there are a variety of versions of Flash Player for various operating systems. This is the correct site:
<http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1 ProdVersion=ShockwaveFlash>

Click on the "Download.bin" button and all should go well. The files will download and either decompress and load automatically or leave a file on your desktop or where ever you have downloads go to.

I hope this helps.
