time capsule guest network
How does one enable a guest network? I've tried and there's an indication that the guest network has no IP address. Help.
iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

The TC has to be in router mode for the guest network to function..
There should be no problem with IP address but it will not allow connection to the local network. Or other clients on the guest network.. as I recall.. perhaps there is a check box for that.

Airport Utility v6.2: Open Airport Utility > Click on the Airport router > Click on "Edit" > Wireless Tab > Guest Network Setup should be right in the middle of this page.
Airport Utility v5.6.1 or Earlier: Airport Utility > Click on your router and go to "Manual Setup" > Guest Network Tab > Checked the box that says "Enable Guest Network" and follow through the setup.
***NOTE*** If the Airport router is in bridge mode you cannot setup a guest network and the above options will not show up.

I guess I am wondering why my Time Capsule configured in Bridge Mode, using Firmware 7.6.3, connected to the "main" AirPort Extreme.....
does now allow the Guest Network to be enabled.
That is crazy, the new update must added that functionality which is awesome. Thanks for correcting me on this. Wish they mentioned that in the summary of the new update.
Extend the Guest Wi-Fi network for a network configured with multiple AirPort Base Stations

First item on the list. Extend means either wireless or Ethernet. 😉
