A bunch of programs pop out everytime I turn on my computer. It's really annoying and I really don't know how to edit the settings so the only thing i see when i turn my macbook on is my desktop. Any ideas?

Quit them before shutting down the computer, and ensure they're not set to open at login in the Accounts or Users & Groups pane of System Preferences.
