New window comes to front 7 seconds after coming out of sleep

It seems strange but 7 seconds after coming out of sleep my screen switches to a new window.

If I'm doing email and let it go to sleep then when I bring it out of sleep it will come up with email on top but in 7 seconds switch to a browser window.

But if I'm using a browser and let it go to sleep then when I bring it out of sleep it will come up with the browser on top but in 7 seconds switch to email.

It is very consistant and makes a switch every time it comes out of sleep. It gets to be irritating. It didn't always do this but I can't remember when it started or correlate it to any change I've made but it probably started while I've been using ML.

I'm running 10.8.2 on a late 2009 iMac with Time Capsule.
