iPhone 4S Lock button stuck

Well yesterday I was just using my phone and so as I was eating dinner I noticed that the lock button was getting harder and was making me put more pressure on it to lock using it. So after a few hours later I get my phone and try to use the lock button and its not working. The whole lock button is down stuck on there and there is basically nothing I can do to use it to lock my phone. I checked if I have my warranty still on it and it expires in April, now if I take it to apple will they just give me a refurbished iPhone back right there or just fix it there for me? Thank you.

Hi Allen, a friend of mine recently stumbled upon this issue. He was one of the unfortunate ones with their warranty expired. If you take your phone into a nearby Apple store, one of the Genius' would be more than happy to take a look at your phone. If they are unable to resolve your issue, since your warranty hasn't expired and isn't due until April, they will replace your iPhone with a NEW phone. No refurbished phones would be given as a replacement. I hope my answer has helped you greatly. Best wishes, Rani.
