iCloud desktop from iWork applications - disappears

Question:

Does anyone know if it's possible to keep the iCloud window open on your desktop after opening a document. I'll try to be more specific.

Scenario:

From my imac, open pages

Select from the icloud window (icloud) to view my docs in the cloud

open a document, view it, then close it.

No more window?

Bam,, do I really need to go back to the dock and re-open pages again to get back to the icloud window?

Running all current applications and OS. as of this post date..

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

I'm glad you provided all the details in the scenario that you gave us.

When you open a document, Pages naturally assumes that you have obtained all the information about the various iCloud documents that you need. You were shown a list of the documents with the expectation you would choose one, open it, and be done with the list.

If that's not the case in your situation, I suggest you open the list from http://www.icloud.com within Safari. Log in and look at the iWork icon, and keep that open.
