How do I clean my EarPods effectively and without damaging the surface nor using the shirt method?
I need to clean the dirt and lint that's on my EarPods. It's on the meshes and I need to get them out. Can anyone help?

I had wax build-up (over a period of two years - I'm not Shrek!) that I made worse by using a toothpick - all I did was compact it into the mesh, no matter how gentle I was when cleaning it. Here's the solution I used and it works great:
DO THE FOLLOWING AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Works great! They sound like new.
Oh my god your a frickin life saver. I tried absolutely everything else and nothing worked. So I did what you did and now they work just like they did when I first bought my phone .... thank you thank you thank youuuuuuu
Get a pen and use the cap of the pen. Use the bottome of the pen cap to clean them out.
No luck so far. By the way, how would the end of a pen cap go through the less than 1mm holes? They're like so tiny.
Any other method?
So far, my only recommendation would be to use a thumb tack. But do NOT press down too hard and damage your earpods
Kind of helped, but no too much results came out of it.
Any other method?
Maybe a plain ole baby wipe. Be quick and blow out the water and such. This will not damage the earpods because the wires are tied closely together.
Looks good now.
Well I accidentally washed mine with my clothes and they work perfectly fine lol but don't try that at home
Disinfectant wipes always do the trick for me. Including wiping down the wires and the actual speaker mesh. Hope this helps too!
Hey man, I did same crazy thing and I was happy as **** 🙂 . helped me a lot, sound much better
Use a dry toothbrush
Mine were like that too today. I just took a toothbrush and brushed them for a while. It didn't seem like it did too much to it, but they're working great now
I tried this and it worked! I guess I had some earwax buildup behind the mesh. Thanks so much! 🙂
Alternatively, use a toothpick! 😀 That's the best solution for me to quickly remove the ear wax, anyway.
Blu Tack is so effective (or prestick)!!! 🙂🙂 They look brand new! Thank you!
