Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and “ Check for Updates “...
If an Update Appears Install it... if not... you are up to date for your particular Device...

Ok I have the iPhone 4 and it just said update iOS 6.1 but no where to update it and its making me mad and I don't have iTunes
On your iPhone... Goto Settings > About > Version... What does it say...?
Go to Settings > General > Software Update. iOS will automatically check for available updates.
