My adobe flash play and adobe reader will not work!

I can not get my adobe flash player or my adobe reader to work. I have reinstalled the software multiply times I have complete deleted all traces of the software and downloaded the newest version countless times. I even updated my IOS to Mountain Lion 10.8.2 to try and fix this problem. Nothing has worked. I cant download PDFs onto my computer and vertually no videos work online. How can I fix this???

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

From the Safari menu bar, select

Safari Preferences Security

and check the box labeled Enable plug-ins.

clinton: Dunno what happened Apple Genius person... it just got really hot and shut off.

Apple Genius: Sir, there's cat hair in the vents and on the keyboard... we're voiding your warranty.

clinton: No kidding fella! I'm a cat! Look at me!... Look at my Apple Community avatar! How else am I supposed to use this thing?! Are you discriminating against me now?!

My cat has a tendency to walk all over the keyboard, too... I vacuum out my vents and fans every couple of months, though!

You should be able to pick your own, personal, avatar if you're at Level 3 (I think?). I notice a lot of cats showing up these days... for over 8 months mine was the Mountain Lion logo - now I've put my cat up. ds store even has a cat face for his avatar now!
