Can't open imovie project

Hi,

This morning I created a new iMovie project on my macbook pro. All the source files are in the Events folders and the iMovie project is in the projects file. When I open iMovie the project doesn't appear. I tried closing iMovie and double clicking on the project file and it opens iMovie but the project doesn't appear. So far I have rebooted the machine and also repaired permissions. Any further suggesitons?
