My time capsule stopped making back ups [last one in June 2012]. Now I want to restore it to original settings, don't care to loose back ups, have hard drives as well, how do I do this?

See "How do I reset my AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule?" > http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3728 Then, choose "Factory default reset" and follow the steps to reset the Time Capsule. You can do it on AirPort Utility or pressing the reset button of the Time Capsule
