My new windows computer has no icon for my ipod so I can't drag anything anywhere in the itune store. I can download music but not transfer it. I hate this. And my husband refuses to help me......

Have you installed the iTunes programme on your computer? You need iTunes to manage your iPod. Download it from http://www.apple.com/itunes/ and then install it.
Have you copied your music from the old computer to an external hard drive so that you can import it into the new computer? You cannot copy the music from the iPod to a new iTunes Library (or at least, you can't do it easily!)
