My new Macbook Pro has bluetooth. My phone also has it and has worked with my daughters laptop. When i try to connect my phone gives the following message " Service not supported by other device" (my new Mac). Any help please?

Thanks Barry. Yes the icon does show. Not sure what SMC is, but I looked at Bluetooth settings etc and low and behold my Mac connected to my phone and showed the files, which I successfully copied to my Mac. Thanks very much for replying so soon.

I am glad things are OK now! 🙂
For future reference, resetting the SMC (system management controller) occasionally fixes odd problems - including missing Bluetooth. The instructions are in a knowledge base article in the web site. There is no need to do it now, however, since everything seems to be fine!
