Is there any support for D600 RAW in Aperture 2?

Hi All,

I'm quite happy with my Aperture 2, and also quite happy with my Snow Leopard OSX. I just bought a D600, which is showing raw files as unsupported.

Does anyone know if there's any way I can work with these without having to upgrade both my operating system and application..?!

Thanks for your help.

Hi Richard,

Unfortunetly not. The RAW support page list here shows that the D600 requires Aperture 3.4 and that requires 10.7.5 or 10.8.2.

I think Keith is referring to Canon software, but since you have a Nikon you should install Nikon Capture that came with the camera. Using that software you can hopefully export the RAW images into a DNG format that Aperture can read. DNG is a format created by Adobe, I believe. It's goal is to be universally read by any image software.
