Apple keeps releasing Camera Raw updates that are only compatible with Lion or above. Has anyone heard why they don't seem to support Snow Leopard? There are many of us that don't want to upgrade beyond Snow Leopard for other legacy software reasons.
Come on, Apple. Give us an update!

Thanks for the reference. At least they've added some cameras to Snow Leopard. But I should have been more specific. I need an update for the Sony DSC-RX1 and DSC-RX100. I didn't see any of the Snow Leopard-compatible updates that supported those cameras.
Are you saying that you cannot import from those cameras?
Is this into iPhoto?
I'm running iPhoto '11 (v9.2.3) under Snow Leopard and yes, I'm saying that I cannot import .arw files from the Sony RX100 and RX1 into iPhoto.

We, of course, are just users and have no real knowledge of this.
If you are cynical, you can say that Apple does it to force you to upgrade.
Someone non-cynical would say that it is Apple policy to not support OS's two revisions back.
It could also be that there have been improvements in the RAW decode engine that aren't available in OS 10.6.8.
