melodyne bridge not being recognized as an audio unit plugin

I just bought Melodyne cre8 (3.0.1.5) and have Logic Pro 7.2.1 on my Macbook Pro. I can't seem to get the Melodyne bridge to appear in Logic's plugin menu. Melodyne launches and works as a standalone, and the installer installed MelodyneBridge.component in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components. I assume this is all that's needed for Logic to recognize the plugin. But it doesn't appear.

I tried lauching Melodyne before Logic and vice versa, with no luck either way. Please help. Thanks.

To be specific, it is not in with the Logic Plug-ins, it is in
with the Audio Units Plug-ins.

You should not have to launch Melodyne itself at all. It is launched automatically when you click and hold the plug in slot and choose...

Stereo(or mono)>Audio Units>Celemony>Melodyne Bridge

Hi. Thanks for the reply -- I should have been clearer in my original post. Neither MelodyneBridge nor the Celemony folder appears in the plugin pop-down. So I'm still faced with the original problem.

It's not in the Audio Units menu and it's not in the Logic plugins menu.

I also tried opening the Logic Audio Units Manager, and Melodyne doesn't appear there either.

I also installed the Melodyne AU patch, so it's version 3.0.1.7 now, and it's still not appearing in the plugins menu in Logic

Have you tried the Melodyne bridge/plug-in Forum also, you
might find someone who has run into this problem.

It looks like no new AU plugins are being recognzied. I tried installing a demo AU plugin (CamelSpace) and that didn't appear either.

I think the problem might be that Melodyne isn't a Universal Binary yet. Could that be it?

Yep - Melodyne 3.1 will be the first version that's a universal binary... it's due to be released Any Day Now and will be a free upgrade for 3.0.x owners. You're not going to see any non-universal-binary plugins appearing in your menu until you upgrade them.
