Blocked plug-in

When I go into YouTube and click on an item, the page comes up with a black screen where the movie should be and a message saying, "Blocked plug-in". This also seems to be happening on other video sites including BBC. Everything was working fine a couple of days ago. What have I done and what do I need to do to fix the problem? I'm using Safari.

All advice and tips gratefully received.

Rob

You probably need to update, or reinstall, Flash.

You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
