In order to play blu-rays on macbook pro, you need an external Blu-Ray Reader/Writer, and then combine it with UFUSoft Mac Blu-ray player. Then you can enjoy your blu-rays on Macbook pro now, yeah, works like a charm.

The built-in SuperDrive can read CDs and DVDs, but not Blu-Rays. You need an external Blu-Ray drive and a specific application to use Blu-Ray discs
No. You would need an external Blu-Ray player.
Thank you!
You are welcome
It can, if you replace the stock optical drive with a Panasonic UJ267/UJ-267 Blue-ray reader/writer. It's the only 9.5mm, slot-loading (both are required to fit in a MacBook Pro) Blue-ray drive that I know of.
You will need a blu-ray playback program such as iDeer Blu-ray Player and a external drive supporting blu-ray playback. That's all, watching blu-rays on Macbook is easy to realize.
an external Blu-Ray player and a Blu-ray Player. here is a suggest:

Or you can backup Blu-rays to ISO image file or lossless MKV format. So no need to take the external drive everytime.
